Our most well-known invention is the Marée Solaire (“Solar Tide”), which recreates controlled tides in the Mediterranean using solar energy, to give our oysters their sublime taste. In a true spirit of innovation, we constantly explore the rich natural environment around us, and experiment with cultivation methods and environmentally friendly technology.
This enables us to bring out the best in our shellfish, revealing their natural qualities and beneficial effects.

In this spirit, for over 10 years now, all the actions taken by the Tarbouriech team and supported by Médithau are guided by a social perspective: for us, a company is not just an economic venture, but also a social entity that is responsible for its impact on society and the environment.
We consider it vital that our activities do not have an adverse impact on the planet or its natural resources, but rather that they contribute to enriching our environment. This positive vision of economic activity is our priority.

In 1998, the company adopted a rigorous approach to quality and continuous improvement, in order to offer our customers very high-quality shellfish that are both healthy and ultra-safe.
As pioneers in our trade, our group has been certified to the highest international standards:
- ISO 9001 certification (continuous improvement and customer satisfaction)
- ISO 22000 (food safety management)
- ISO 14001 (environmental management)
In 2012, part of our oyster and mussel production was certified by the Agriculture Biologique (organic farming) label, in due recognition of our constant determination to achieve total quality.
