LA MAISON TARBOURIECH

60 years of oyster & mussel farming

For over 60 years, the Tarbouriech family has lived and worked on the banks of the Etang de Thau, close to the sea and nature.

Over the decades, Florent, Sabine and their children have transformed the family oyster farm into a flagship for shellfish farming and eco-tourism in the Mediterranean.

Innovation at the heart of Tarbouriech development

It was in 2006, with the invention of the Marée Solaire®, that the company turned a corner. This patented, environmentally-friendly, energy-independent and remote-controlled process recreates the phenomenon of the tides and produces high-quality oysters. : the Tarbouriech Special Oyster.
Since then, the Mediterranean oyster has been invited to the tables of top chefs, winning over Guy Savoy, Alain Ducasse, Anne-Sophie Pic, Gilles Goujon, Prunier and others…

The birth of a family group

In 2011, St Barth quickly became the region’s must-visit venue, attracting tourists and locals alike, eager to share experiences.
Since then, the Tarbouriech family has continued to strengthen its expertise and expand its activities. :
